This is a handmade stained glass and copper-wire spider suncatcher with a single large fused glass eye 🕷️ The eye is created using the kiln-fired fusing technique, where coloured glass pieces are melted together in the kiln to form a smooth, glossy, jewel-like surface. The result is a strikingly realistic spider eye with a bright cobalt-blue iris, deep black pupil, and white sclera shot through with delicate red veins. The spider's body is built from copper foil and lead-free tin solder, while the eight long curving legs are hand-shaped from thick wire, giving the piece a delicate, almost moving silhouette when it hangs in a window. With its cyclops-like single eye and intricate wire body, this design walks a line between cute and creepy.
